Child Health in Emergencies and Humanitarian Settings

Over the previous 30 years, the world’s average mortality rate for children under five years old has fallen dramatically. However, progress is uneven across regions, and the figures mask the reality of vulnerable populations across and within countries that continue to face significant morbidity and mortality rates of children due to preventable and easily treatable conditions. This document presents the issue, UNICEF's response and programmatic priorities, and the way forward.
